Jeannette Redway - Breakthrough Family Law

Jeannette Redway heads up Breakthrough Family Law.

Jeannette is an expert in the field of family law. She has a wealth of experience in working with people and the resolution of conflict. She is a qualified solicitor of nearly 16 years . She is also a trained family mediator, collaborative lawyer, member of IACP and member of Resolution. She has a background in adult psychiatry, has undertaken counselling training and has a unique understanding of conflict management which helps gives her a singular understanding of the difficulties experienced in relationship breakdown and how to avoid the pitfalls and added expense of the traditional conflict centred legal approach to Divorce and Separation .

She has taught on the Legal Practice course for the University of Hertfordshire and has also taught law on the Business Studies course. She was an external examiner on the Legal Practice course to the Metropolitan University of London.

Jeannette prescribes to the Resolution Code of Conduct which is about working ethically, resolving conflict and looking at outcomes without destroying relationships. It is about respecting the sensitive nature of family work and understanding the emotional turmoil suffered of all involved. She specifically aims to work with all other professionals involved to provide an outcome which reduces conflict, minimises emotional pain and allows each individual to move ahead into a future that is positive, secure, and meets the needs of her clients.

She is able to work in a variety of ways and approaches and always tries to look at alternative solutions as well as the clear and obvious. She has a network of other professionals to assist where appropriate; including, counsellors, relationship coaches, family consultants, co-mediators, and financial advisors.
