Arya is currently a university student with a strong ambition to pursue a career as a Family Law Barrister.
She is drawn to family law because of its uniquely human focus, where legal principles meet the lived realities of people’s lives. Arya is motivated by the belief that working with families, often during moments of profound vulnerability, requires clarity, empathy and a strong sense of moral responsibility.
Background and Experience
Arya has taken on several leadership roles at university, including committee positions with The Bar Society and Women in Law.
She has also founded a new pro bono initiative in partnership with Central Women’s Aid, recruiting volunteers to support their work.
She regularly attends court with clients and prepares attendance notes for counsel.
Personal interests
Outside her legal interests, Arya is an enthusiastic violinist and enjoys reading history.
